The Quarter Cafe in Hanley, Stoke offers an amazing afternoon tea option at great value! Read my review below on this experience.
It’s £12.95 per person or with a glass of process each it’s £16.95 per person. Afternoon Tea is a lot of calories but on this day my best friend and I did a 3 mile walk around a gorgeous lake nearby so by the time we got to The Quarter Cafe, we were very hungry having burned close to 1,500 calories already that day. Nothing like guilt-free eating!

You start with either Suki Leaf Tea or Tiki Bean Americano Coffee however they can also give you a different beverage, if tea and coffee isn’t your thing. The sandwiches are Roast Beef and Caramelised Onion, Chicken, Pesto and Rocket, Cream Cheese and Cucumber and Tuna and Spring Onion Mayonnaise. The sandwiches are delicious on a variety of different breads and can make your tastebuds tingle.
They can also cater for Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy Free and other dietary requirements so don’t be afraid to ask!
You’ll also get 3 sweet cakes and desserts according to their site but as you can see from this picture, we got 4 each. The worst thing was picking which one to have!
Last but not least, you get delicious home baked scones with clotted cream and jam. These scones are perfect – not at all heavy and an extremely filling end to the meal. I would normally avoid the puddings and scones on a normal day but considering I had around 3,000 cals on the day at maintenance, I decided to let loose and enjoy myself. I’m so glad I did and we choose this place to go – it’s such a wondering little cafe and addition to the cultural quarter of Stoke.
